Es ist schon fast 4 Jahre her, dass ich selbst als Austauschschülerin zum ersten Mal in Südafrika war. Aber auf meine Zeit dort blicke ich einfach immer noch unheimlich gerne zurück!
Meine Gastfamilie und Mitschüler haben mich damals so herzlich aufgenommen, sodass ich in eine ganz neue Kultur eintauchen und viele wertvolle Erfahrungen machen konnte. Im letzten Jahr habe ich meine Gastfamilie endlich einmal wiedergesehen! Ich bin sehr dankbar, dass ich damals die Möglichkeit hatte, ein so einmaliges und faszinierendes Land wie Südafrika zu erleben. Meine Erinnerungen bleiben lebendig und ich hoffe sehr, dass ich noch oft zurückkehren werde!
And to all South African exchange students who arrived some days ago: I hope you´ll all have a wonderful and memorable time. Enjoy your stay!
I am very very very happy with my german family. They have done nothing but good to me. I think my whole life is changed by them. My german sister is so much like me. Everyday is the best day of my life. I think the FSA should please maybe cancel my flight home :) Do not want to leave my family

My family is absolutely wonderful!
I´m really enjoying it here.
I eat a lot more than a human probably should but it is all wonderful food.
My family goes out of their way to make sure I´m happy and really enjoying my stay and it is really working. I already feel at home in their house. I think I get along with all the Wolff family members. We laugh lots (Them at my German and me at their English)
I´m very happy here. But every now and then I get ever so slightly home sick. -Then Andrea give´s me food and that is quickly forgotten ;)
The school is the same but somehow very different. The Germans aren´t quite as friendly as South African´s but we´ll make do.
There are other Exchange students from Texas here and Clara and I would both love to talk to them. When they walk past it´s quite refreshing... ENGLISH!
So far that is all my news.
Look forward to seeing what Andrea has planned for us this weekend. Take advantage of the time here.

FSA Youth Exchange- Germany 2014
Wunstorf has been treating me exceptionally well so far, from the cleanliness of the city and the diversity of culture found within it, to the commendable hospitality and treatment that I have been receiving from my welcoming host family. The memories that I have made (and those that I have yet to make) and the German experience will forever be cherished and I am grateful for the family that has accepted and included me into it´s life.

The Uhlenkükens are such a wonderful family! I immediately felt welcome in their home and I haven´t felt homesick once. Friday is our last day of school so we all look forward to vacation activities. Hemer is a beautiful town and I know the next three weeks will be as great as the first.

Ah I can´t explain how happy I am with my family!! We all have the same personalities and enjoy every moment together! I don´t think I want to go back to South Africa 😁 .. I love it so much here! This is going to be memories of a life time ♥️

I am very lucky to have such an understanding family. I´ve had so much fun with them already and I have fallen in love with the combination of the city and nature in Berlin. This is a great experience I will cherish forever. 😀
Having the time of my live
I am blessed with the most amazing family ever, we have done so much together and my host sister and I feel like real sisters already.♡ we have become very close in just 4 days. Our trip to France was a great experience too! Thank you FSA for this opportunity, I am already arranging to come visit next year. 😁
I found the best host family ever!
It was so good to meet my host father and sister in Bielefeld.I have the best of the best host family ever. I have finally arrived to Büren-Brenken and I was so pleased to meet the whole family.They are all so friendly and open to me,😀 I love them very much.It is so good to be in Germany and having them around!!😉

Thank you very much FSA for giving me this amazing opportunitiy to have an authentic German experience. I can´t think of a better way to experience Germany than through staying with the people who live there. You get to experience the German way of life, learn independance from your family back in South Africa and become an adult! I am really looking forward to the coming month, and I am sure that I will make a lot of new friends! 😀 😁 😀

My Family and I
I´ve met a wonderful Family in Schwarzenbek. They are treating me like their old Family member. Everyone in this family is very excited. They have welcomed me with warm Hands. My Family met me at the Train-Station and they were very happy, when I arrived at the Train Station they greeted me very nicely. Everything is good and I am enjoying every Moment with this Family. Ich liebe meine Familie.

my host family
My host family is very nice and I
enjoy them a lot. When I arrived at the train
station they greeted me with a board with my name on it. At first it was awkward but then we warmed up to each other.
7 hours to go, yay!
In 7 hours time the plane will be in the air as I make my way to Germany to spend 4 weeks with my host family Karsten, Annette, Klara and Franka. I can´t wait to meet them in person=:)

I´m so excited to travel to Germany. Can´t put into words how I feel about traveling to Germany. 😁 Counting down the days , the hours , the minutes and the seconds. Can´t wait to finally meet my German Family 😀. This would be a once in a lifetime experience😎
