Hi Petra!! First of all I just want to say thank you for this opportunity and thank you for helping us on the airport to make sure we got on the right train.😀 I am very happy with my host family and could not have asked for anyone better. Although it is very cold and everything is very different I am enjoying every moment of my stay in Germany. The school is a new expereince and even though I can´t understand 90 percent of it I am learning so much!!😁 -Anika

ich möchte dir und euch noch mal danken, meine (gast)familie ist perfekt gewesen. meine gastmutter meinte zu mir nach 2 wochen tell your mother in germany that you ve got a second mother now.
und so telefonieren wir seit 2 jahren regelmäßig mit einander und nun fliege ich morgen abend entlich wieder runter!
ich bin froh ,dass es organisationen wie euch gibt, denn in desto mehr ländern man hospitiert hat, desto mehr bekommt man das gefühl keine deutsche zu sein, sondern eine weltbürgerin und die welt wird ein ganzes stück kleiner wenn man merkt wie einfach es ist auf der anderen seite der welt anzurufen und hinzufliegen.

High School Austausch 2011
Ich habe im Sommer 2011 am High School Austausch teilgenommen und kann nur sagen, dass es bislang nur wenige Dinge in meinem Leben gab, die mir so gut gefallen haben. Ich kann hier nur an alle appellieren, die sich zur Zeit vielleicht noch unsicher sind. Macht es! Denn sonst habt ihr was verpasst und werden es sicherlich später bereuen. Die Unsicherheit schwindet dank der guten Vorbereitung und Betreuung schnell und dann macht das ganze einfach nur einen riesen Spaß :)
Dit is ongelooflik hier....het alsoveel plekke gesien en soveel goed gedoen ...die familie is wonderlik ... hulle help met alles ....het ook al baie duits geleer .... die skole is baie anders as ons sin, maar dit is nog steeds bja lekker...

hier eine kleine Episode:
Wir sind Sonntag Abend (21.10.12) von Cape Town, Kappstadt zurück gekommen.
Dario war dort vor einem Jahr für 4 Wochen im Schüleraustausch.
Seine Gastfamilie hat zwei Kinder und ist sehr nett. Sie leben auf dem Land, haben eine BeerenFarm, dort wachsen Himbeeren und Brombeeren für Marmelade.
Es waren spannende 14 Tage in Swellendam. Wir sind in botanischen Parks gewesen, es ist Frühling da, alles in voller Blüte. Am Ufer liegen die Seelöwen in der Sonne, auf der Straße hatten wir einen Vogel Strauß vor dem Auto, ich konnte das Fahrzeug anhalten!
Antilopen, Adler, Hartebeest, Zebras und Buntböcke in der freien Wildbahn, fantastisch zu beobachten.

Ich war im Sommer 2004 in SA und obwohl ich keinen Kontakt mehr mit meiner Gastfamilie habe,kann ich nur sagen wie positiv dieser Austausch für mich war damals!! Ich studiere mittlerweile Medizin und brauche das Zertifikat um mich um ein
Schwerpunktcurriculum zu bewerben namens "Global Health" - wäre ich nicht
im Austausch gewesen, hätte ich vllt nicht so früh meine Begeisterung für andere Kulturen entdeckt, die mich jetzt motiviert hat mich mehr zu
engagieren.
